Life Sciences alumni stay in touch with Institute Applied Sciences

VELIAN is the official graduates site of the Association of Laboratory Engineers Arnhem Nijmegen for Life Sciences students at HAN University of Applied Sciences. This site offers bilingual access to the international student group of the Life Sciences BAs training programmes. This English-language version of the “BenM” programme started in 2003 with 3 students and now in 2011 has annually 3 classes (a total of 45 students) from all continents except the South Pole....

Welcome to VELIAN  

Velian is an active community of former HAN students and staff. Graduates in Chemistry, Biology and Medical Lab Technology are invited to register and attend the many activities. The focus is on networking and social interactions: use VELIAN to:

• create and maintain contacts with other alumni and promotion in their companies (potential new career opportunities)
• maintain contact with teachers
• be informed of the activities of the HAN
• attend Institute of Applied Sciences events
• be able to think about the structure and content of Bachelor and Master training programmes
• guest lectureres and workshops...

Free membership to HAN Alumni for HAN graduates  

Membership to HAN Alumni is free, and open to anyone studying or having studied in Bioinformatics and Chemistry, Bioscience or Life Science at HLO-HAN or its legal predecessors. Any contributions to the site are welcome, be it in groups, links, digital photos, etc. Please forward your material to the coordinator. Registration is always open.

Registration as HAN alumnus via www.han.nl/alumni is always open. 

The Holland Alumni networks in Neso countries offer a range of services for international students returning to their home countries. Most networks offer career workshops, networking events and seminars for alumni in specific areas of expertise.

Alumni activities in the countries can be organized upon initiative from an institution, an alumnus, the Neso office or staff from individual faculties of an institution.
Dutch higher education institutions can call upon the Holland Alumni networks in Neso countries for:

assistance in organizing an alumni event in the Neso country;
addressing institution´s alumni from the Neso country;
organizing joint alumni events with other institutions or the Nuffic Neso office;
organizing lectures and seminars for alumni in specific areas of expertise.
